Rosa Olivia Freckleton (aged 8)
We loved this imaginative, positive and flowing entry from Rosa.
There was once a little girl called Rosa. Her dream was to become an artist.
When she was only three years old, she had knocked into a bucket of paint thay her father had been using the previous day to paint the fence- it went all over her face. She started to splosh it around the floor. Just then, she remembered the flowers she had seen last week.
"I like flowers," Rosa giggled and she painted huge petals onto the floor.
"I like colours," she said, starting to enjoy herself. She painted a large stem, some leaves and went to tell everyone.
When her mother saw her covered in paint, she chuckled, "You silly billy!"
"Mummy, daddy, I've got something to show you!" she squeaked.
"What is it?" her mum sighed, going to see what she had been up to.
"OH! Wow!" she breathed, when she saw the huge sloppy flower on the floor. "Rosa, how did you do that?"
So, Rosa told her mum what had happened.
"Wow!" her mum breathed again. "You could be an artist!"
"Yay!" screamed Rosa with delight.
From then on, she continued painting- from watercolours, to acrylics, to oil pastels. Until... one day her dream came true. She had become famous. She had so much attention and from that day to this day, she continues to inspire others to paint, to draw, to believe in themselves. And to... flourish!!
She wins 20 Clemo Coins.
